MTM Power GmbH is headquartered in Schwarzatal, Thuringia. The apprenticeship takes place across our plants in the districts of Mellenbach and Unterweißbach.

What Tasks Await You?

The Industrial Electrician apprenticeship allows you to obtain a comparatively quick skilled worker qualification in two years. If both you and we are interested, this apprenticeship period can be credited towards a further 3.5-year apprenticeship – depending on the chosen specialization.

Industrial electricians specializing in devices and systems are qualified electricians in accordance with accident prevention regulations. They manufacture and commission electronic components, devices, and systems according to customer requirements, i.e., they:

  • Process, assemble, and connect mechanical components and electrical equipment,
  • Test and analyze electrical functions and systems,
  • Perform functional and safety tests on electrical systems, components, and devices,
  • Install and configure IT systems, and in doing so:
  • Implement quality assurance measures,
  • Consider environmental protection, occupational safety, and economic efficiency requirements,
  • Document production data and coordinate with upstream and downstream departments.

Apprenticeship Content:

Section A - Core Professional Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Processing, Assembling, and Connecting Mechanical Components and Electrical Equipment,
  • Measuring and Analyzing Electrical Functions and Systems,
  • Assessing the Safety of Electrical Systems and Equipment,
  • Installing and Configuring IT Systems.

 

Section B - Further Core Professional Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities in the Specialization of Devices and Systems:

  • Technical Order Analysis,
  • Manufacturing Components and Devices,
  • Creating and Commissioning Devices and Systems.

 

Section C - Integrative Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • Vocational Training, Labor Law, and Collective Bargaining Law,
  • Structure and Organization of the Training Company,
  • Occupational Safety and Health Protection,
  • Environmental Protection,
  • Operational and Technical Communication,
  • Planning and Organizing Work, Evaluating Work Results.
