MTM Power GmbH has its headquarters in Schwarzatal, Thuringia. The apprenticeship takes place across our plants in the districts of Mellenbach and Unterweißbach.

What Tasks Await You?

The term Mechatronics Technician is composed of mechanics and electronics. Therefore, you will have exciting tasks from these two technical fields.

  • Manufacturing of systems from mechanical, electronic, and information technology components
  • Production of individual components,
  • Assembly of machines and systems,
  • Installation and configuration of networks and systems,
  • Programming of mechatronic systems,
  • Reading circuit diagrams and construction drawings,
  • Maintenance and repair of automation technology.
  • Testing and Measuring: One of the most important tasks is to measure angles or voltage in electrical circuits and compare the determined results with previous data during the work process. Mechatronics technicians do this based on installation plans.
  • Maintaining and Repairing Machines: Systems and machines must be regularly inspected by mechatronics technicians to ensure safe and reliable operation in the long term. In case of need, the mechatronics technician performs repairs themselves.
  • Assembling/Disassembling Machine Parts: A conveyor belt in a production hall may appear technically inconspicuous, but it contains highly sensitive light barriers. Mechatronics technicians assemble or disassemble machines and systems.
  • Installing Controls and Programming Systems: Circuits can be supplied with electrical, pneumatic, or hydraulic energy. Mechatronics technicians set up the respective circuits. Furthermore, they are responsible for setting up operating software on robot-driven machines and configuring networks.

  • Setting up, monitoring, and maintaining production and testing facilities,

  • Business processes and quality management in the area of application.
